Turkish Pianist is Number One in the World

In the International Lovere International Tadini Piano Competition, pianist Kaan Turan won first place.

13 years old young pianist brought Turkey first place in the Lovere International Tadini Piano Competition held in Italy in recent months, attended by 45 contestants from 17 countries. In the competition, young pianist Kaan Turan performed Fazıl Say’s Kara Toprak, Chopin’s Revolutionary Etude and Mozart’s A Minor Piano Sonata. Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Numan Kurtuluş called and congratulated the successful pianist and his mother. The young pianist who said that he won the favour of the jury by performing Fazıl Say’s Kara Toprak, said; “My future goal is to become a world-class musician as well as to complete my education and become a good brain surgeon.”

Turan, who started his music education at the age of 6, continues his music education at Yaşar University Continuous Education Centre Gifted Children Program. Pianist Turan, who has participated in numerous international contests, festivals and art events, won first places at the Mozart Academy 2nd National Piano Competition in 2014 and the 19th International Piano Competition organized in Romania’s capital Bucharest in 2015.
