In the meeting, Turkish President Erdoğan gave three important instructions to Turkey’s Maarif Foundation and wished them success. Reminding that the Maarif Foundation is a foundation of Turkish Republic and nation, Erdoğan said, “If they say that they are active in 170 countries, you have to be active in all 193 member countries of the United Nations. Remember that the main element of the fight is well-trained individuals, dynamism, unity, solidarity and fraternity.”
President Erdoğan requested all international organizations to give full support to the Maarif Foundation. All international organizations including Yunus Emre Enstitüsü, TIKA, YTB and the Ministry of Religious Affairs, will support the spread of Maarif Foundation abroad under Ministry of National Education. In addition, the Maarif Foundation will work intensively to receive support from foreign leg of the civil society in countries in question. President Erdoğan asked to prioritize the foundation’s activities, particularly in countries where FETÖ is widespread and active. Erdoğan pointed out the importance of giving priority to the Balkans, Middle East and Turkic states, stating that medium and long term service planning should be carried out.
