Dokuz Eylül University Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language Master’s Degree

I am 26 years old and I live in the Hungarian capital of Budapest. I work as a translator in a Turkish company. As I applied to university in 2009, I decided to study Turcology because the shared history of Turks and Hungarians was very appealing. This is how my journey of learning Turkish language began. Initially I took interest in history, especially in Turkish history, and later I steered towards Turkish. I had the opportunity to visit Turkey for the first time in 2010. First I got to know Istanbul. Later before moving to Izmir I visited Istanbul a few more times… I lived in Turkey for a total of 2.5 years. I am very impressed by Pamukkale (Hierapolis) located in Denizli as well as Cappadocia and Istanbul. I graduated from Turcology Department in 2013 and earned a master’s degree from Turkey scholarships program. As a result, I received education in Dokuz Eylül University’s Turkish language instruction department. I attend the courses and events held at Yunus Emre Institute in Budapest when I find a chance. I personally know the staff of the Enstitü. They do their jobs very well and they are very hospitable. I sincerely thank the Yunus Emre Enstitüsü community.
